The Move It! programme is a 10-week programme for young people aged 14-17 which supports them to increase their physical activity levels and develop greater knowledge of the benefits of good physical health.
Each weekly 2-hour session includes an hour of a fun and engaging physical activity in addition to discussions about:
- the effects of physical activity on health
- what you can do to build regular exercise habits into your daily life
- the impact of a healthy diet
- setting goals to continue the development of a healthy lifestyle
Sessions are led by experienced youth workers with specialist sports coaches leading the physical activity sessions.
There’ll also be time to wind down and reflect on what has been learnt in the free 'Move It! Learner Handbook' which supports their learning and tracks their progress.
