Support for young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET)

Services for Young People offers individually tailored support to help young people get into education, employment or training.

Services for Young People (SfYP) helps young people explore career pathways and plan for their future. We provide impartial information, advice and guidance to help them identify and achieve their goals. Our qualified Advisers also support with identifying and developing skills needed for work and help with CV writing, searching for jobs and preparing for interviews. 

Information, advice and support at SfYP young people's centres

Young people aged 16-19 (up to 25 for care leavers and young people with SEND) who are not in education, employment or training can come to their nearest SfYP young people's centre between 11am and 5pm. Please click below for full details:

Register for an SfYP account

Young people aged 16 to 19 can register for an SfYP account to receive tailored information about job vacancies, apprenticeships, traineeships and further education. We will share tips on finding jobs and give details of other support SfYP can offer. Please click the link below to register:

 

Pathways to Success 2024

Care leavers and those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) aged 16-25 who are not currently in education, employment or training can also get support from Services for Young People through the Pathways to Success 2024 programme. Please click below for full details:

 

Supported Employment

Our Supported Employment programme is for young people aged 16 to 25 with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Supported Employment Advisers in the SfYP SEND Team provide specialised support, helping them to find suitable work and then supporting them in the workplace.
