Hudnall Park is Services for Young People's outdoor activity centre set in 85 acres of beautiful parkland, private woodland and meadows, five miles from Hemel Hempstead in the west of Hertfordshire.

We offer tailor-made programmes of activities designed to develop young people’s social, emotional and physical skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Free Adventure Days at Hudnall Park

Between November 2025 and March 2026, we are offering free adventurous outdoor activity days for groups of eligible young people aged 11–18. Young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) can take part up to the age of 25.

Taking part in an Adventure Day at Hudnall Park is a fantastic opportunity for young people to get outdoors and enjoy new experiences while developing their confidence and resilience and discovering their potential. They will learn skills that will last a lifetime and improve their overall wellbeing.

Who is eligible to attend?

The activities are funded by the UK Youth Fund's 'Adventures Away from Home' Fund, a programme which enables young people from disadvantaged and under-represented backgrounds to access life-changing outdoor learning opportunities free of charge. Eligible young people should be facing significant barriers to accessing outdoor learning, including but not limited to:

  • Young people living in poverty
  • Those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Young women and girls
  • Those from ethnic minority groups
  • Young people with low academic attainment

An Adventure Day consists of two 2-hour activities on the same day; the morning session runs from 10am to 12pm, and the afternoon session runs from 1pm to 3pm. A free lunch is also included.

Bookings must be for groups of between six and 30 young people. They will be divided into two groups, each group doing one of the two selected activities in the morning, and the other in the afternoon. The activities will be tailored to individual/group needs and weather conditions on the day. Each young person can only attend one Adventure Day.

Join us at Hudnall Park and let the adventure begin!
