The YC Hertfordshire stall promoted the full range of projects and programmes available to young people in Stevenage as well as providing another opportunity to join up with Stevenage Borough Council and Hertfordshire Constabulary.
MP Stephen McPartland stopped by to show his support for the event, which attracted many families and young people from the St Martin’s Wood, Pin Green and St Nicholas wards in Stevenage. He said: “I think it’s really great what you’ve achieved so far. It’s making such a difference.
YC Hertfordshire will be returning to the centre in the autumn term with a brand new programme including a professional sports coach delivering boxercise classes, as well as plenty of opportunities for young people to get advice and support and develop new skills.
17-year-old Tylia who attended the event said: “Thanks for getting me involved in this. I’ve never knew this event went on in my local community.”
