Sexual Health Week 2022

27 September 2022

Services for Young People (SfYP) provides free and confidential sexual health services to young people across Hertfordshire. This Sexual Health Week we are raising awareness of these services and the different ways young people can access them.

Sexual health services from SfYP

Sexual Health Week 2022 is taking place 10th-16th October and the theme this year is ‘breaking barriers’ – ensuring that everyone can access sexual health services in a way that suits them, and in an inclusive and non-judgmental environment.

Here are four ways that young people can get evidence-based information and impartial advice about sexual health and relationships from SfYP.

1   At SfYP Access Point Projects

Young people can make an appointment at their local Access Point Project or just drop in during the opening hours. We provide:

  • Free condoms through our Condom Wallet Scheme
  • Free chlamydia and gonorrhoea testing (dual testing)
  • Free pregnancy testing
  • Sexual and general health and relationships advice

Opening times, contact details and information about other types of support available at our Access Point Projects can be found here:

2   At SfYP projects for young people

Young people can also get support with sexual health and relationships at our projects for young people which take place every week during term time.

3   By using the SfYP free condoms by post service

Young people aged 13-21 can receive free condoms and information about sexual health services across the county though the post by completing the form on this page:

4   By texting the SfYP sexual health text service

We also provide a sexual health text service to make it easier for young people to get information about sexual health services in the county. Please text your question to 07860 057369.

So, however you’d prefer to access support with your sexual health during Sexual Health Week and beyond, our friendly advisers and youth workers are here to help.
