National Youth Work Week is a powerful annual celebration of youth work across the UK, shining a spotlight on the transformative impact youth work has on young people’s lives. This year, Services for Young People (SfYP) is proud to join the celebration by recognising the achievements of young people and raising awareness of the vital support we offer.
The 2025 theme, ‘Building brighter futures: safe places, trusted support and opportunities to thrive’, reflects the heart of youth work—creating inclusive spaces where young people feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow.
In the lead up to the week, young people attending SfYP youth work projects will take part in creative activities that explore and express their vision of a brighter future. Whether through painting, photography, digital media, or mixed forms, these artistic expressions will celebrate identity, values, and aspirations.
Selected artwork will be proudly featured at the Young People’s Awards events, on our social media channels, and our website—amplifying the voices and talents of young people across Hertfordshire.
Young People’s Awards events will be taking place during the week to honour the incredible achievements of young people over the past academic year as a result of the support they have received from SfYP. These awards highlight the positive impact of our Youth Workers and Advisers in helping young people overcome challenges and reach their potential.
Throughout the week SfYP Youth Workers will also be delivering assemblies and lunchtime information sessions in schools across Hertfordshire, promoting the services we provide and connecting with even more young people.
