Herts Parent Carer Involvement launches survey for families with children and young people with special educational needs

31 October 2022

Herts Parent Carer Involvement exists to represent the views of the parents and carers of children and young people with SEND in Hertfordshire. They have launched their first annual survey to find out more about what families in Hertfordshire are experiencing.

Herts Parent Carer Involvement (HPCI) works alongside Hertfordshire health, education and social care services, to help focus the decision makers on improving services and outcomes for children and young people. They want to know what works and what doesn’t, so that they can make sure they are concentrating on the areas that matter most.

The information they gain will help them prioritise their work and, importantly, give them more data to back up what they are saying in discussions with the education, health and social care systems that they engage with.

The survey is for parents and carers in Hertfordshire who have children and young people aged 0-25 with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). It is open until 11 November 2022.

They are offering anyone who completes the survey the chance to enter a prize draw to win a gift voucher.

Please share this survey with anyone you know who has a child or young person with SEND in Hertfordshire. They don’t need to have a diagnosis, an EHCP or be a member of HPCI to take part.

If help to complete the survey is needed, call or text 07840 360245 and someone will arrange a time to call back and help. Contact that number or email contact@hertsparentcarers.org.uk if you need the survey in an alternative format.
