Services for Young People

Getting your exam results this summer? Services for Young People is here to help!

03 August 2026

Young people who are getting their A-level, T-level or GCSE results this August can get support from Services for Young People as they decide on their next steps.

Group of young people celebrating their exam results

Whether the results are better or worse than expected, Services for Young People (SfYP) can offer the latest information and impartial advice to help young people with their important choices. We can help young people rethink their plans or explore new options if needed.

One-to-one personalised advice is available from SfYP Advisers in schools and at our 11-5 Hubs at young people’s centres across Hertfordshire. Please see opening times below. Young people can contact their local area team to make an appointment or just drop in during these opening hours. Phone or video-call appointments are also available.

Other ongoing support

Young people can also register for jobs, apprenticeships or traineeships to get job alerts (via text or email) in the occupational categories they are interested in. They will receive job details, including how to apply, and be offered further support.

Our Advisers are also delivering 'Get September Ready' sessions, which are open to all young people finishing Year 11 who would benefit from extra support with their transition to sixth form, college or if they don’t currently have anything in place for September.

SfYP’s 11-5 Hubs are open as usual during the school holidays for information, advice and support on a wide range of subjects. Find full details and opening hours here: Information, advice and support at SfYP 11-5 Hubs
