Make a referral

You can make a referral to Services for Young People if you are a young person (self-referral), a parent/carer or a professional.

Services for Young People provides targeted prevention and early intervention youth work projects and programmes, information, advice, guidance and work-related learning for 11 (year seven) to 17-year olds, up to 21 for care leavers and 24 for young people with learning disabilities (LD) and some other vulnerable groups.

If the presenting need(s) of the young person are unlikely to be met through prevention and early intervention, please contact the Customer Service Centre on 0300 123 4043 for advice.

What happens when I make a referral?

When you make a referral, it will be sent to the relevant Services for Young People team and you will be contacted within a few days to discuss how best we can meet the young person's needs.
